My second card in two days! I've missed card making because the only ones I did for awhile were my Christmas cards and they were all the same. After awhile, that spells NO FUN!

I made this Thank You card today and am pretty pleased with the way it turned out. Hope you enjoy it too.

Wow! It's been awhile since I've posted. This photo may not be the best because I took it with my iPhone. It's going out in the mail so excuse me for rushing.

I layered Washi Tape in the corner and sponged ink to a white die cut. Added some flat brad stickers and Viola!!

I hope you enjoy the card and I'll try to get more up real soon! I hope you had a great Christmas!!

E is for Elliot!

This is actually just one sheet of 10 x 12 scrapbook paper. I traced the E on the back, cut out the shape and Decoupaged it to the letter. The owls were cut from my friends big shot on an open scrap night.
I gave it a couple more coats to make it glossy.

I think this will look great on Elliot's wall!

I made two cards tonight. I'm going to post one now and one later. I love Gray and especially love it with the colors in my new Ruby paper pad by My Minds Eye. I also used the Ruby Stamp set and the cute little banner die I bought from Lil Inker Designs.

Wednesday, October 17, 2012

I made this card today using the new banner die I got last week.  I also used my new Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink pad and my new square dies from Sizzix!  The gray ink is Memento London Fog. I'm loving gray these days for some reason!

I made this cute kitty cat card for a friends birthday.

Saturday, October 13, 2012

I made this card last night and was anxious to share it. I think I may had more embellishments tthe top of the tag but will have to think about what to add since I already have ribbon at the bottom. Suggestions??
I love this bird stamp from RedLead

I have several finished cards that I need to get photographed and entered on the blog. Here are two of the latest ones. I hope you like them!

I'm excited about these next two cards because we used a technique we just learned! Check out these two and leave a comment if you like. My photography skills aren't the greatest, but I plan on working on that very soon!

I have two cards for you today. This is a quick card design but I like the way they turn out and the fact that they don't take forever to make helps too.

For this next card, I used a manila folder to stamp on. Love reusing things just to see how they turn out. When they turn out well, it's just a bonus!

Hey there!

I'm back with more new cards. You'll be able to tell with these two cards that I got the DCWV Latte Matstack and I just LOVE the colors. Here are two cards I've done with it so far and there are more to come!!

The next card I want to show you has an element that I had not worked with before. I was very pleased to see how well the Aluminum Step Flashing embossed in my Cuttlebug!
I picked up the product at Home Depot. The package has 10 sheets in the 5x7 size. The best part about this product was the cost - $2.54!!  OK, enough talk, here's the card!

It wasn't easy rounding the corners. I tried my corner rounder which only perforated it then I went back and trimmed the outline with my scissors.

I hope you like this card - especially when you find out I made it from a tissue box! These come in such pretty designs now without the brand name splashed all over so I used the idea I found on YouTube and here is my version.
The box, some ribbon and a greeting! Easy!

A little help from my friends card

I haven't made a card for awhile so this one took me forever! I do like it though and will send it out today!

New Cards!

Last time I posted, I said how far behind I am getting the cards up that I've been making. So here we go, time to catch up!

I made two versions of this card using the same stamp. I changed the colors when I colored the stamp and changed the background paper for a different look.

I embossed the sentiment on this card and used coordinating papers. The sassy little button completes the look!

I added these coordinating papers in aqua and then embossed the entire card front. The ribbon completes this card. Love the soft subtle colors on this one.

I used a shimmery paper to punch these butterflies and used the negative space too! This one is quick and can be made when you are in a hurry.

These little butterflies were cut from paint chips! My friends and I made this background by stamping the image several times then we used a dauber and various colors of chalk. Fun stuff!

I embossed my white card stock then used my cloud punch (shown in another post) to make these little white clouds. My inspiration was from a card I found on Pinterest.
I love the cute little sequins too.

I made these next two the same using Nanas' Nursery Baby Boy card stack by DCWV. I love the soft colors and these both turned out great!

The inspiration for this next card was found on You Tube! Love these results too. You can get great ideas on lots of different sites like Pinterest and You Tube.

This is a fun card using a couple punches, ribbon and your embossing machine.

I purchased some K&Company paper flowers that were already on pop dots and had the sequin! I added some ribbon and a Celebrate stamp along with a piece of embossed blue card stock.
 Instant Birthday Card!

I used a Stampin up! Punch for the big flower on this card. I embossed the piece that went under the negative space and added two silk flowers secured with a brad. The bottom piece was embossed then sanded to expose the white core.

Another butterfly punched from a paint chip. I added the squares, ribbon, brad and stamp for a super quick but cute card.

Wow! This one was labor intensive. I made this one because my friend Sharon figured it out for us! We found it on Pinterest and knew we HAD to make one too! Thanks Sharon!!

Time to catch up!

Wow, am I ever behind on the card posts! My friends and I have been making cards and I have just not gotten around to photographing them all as of yet. I hope to do just that this coming Wednesday. For now though, I'll post this one because I'll be sending it off soon and I want you to see it first!

Thanks for coming by!

It's Thursday again and I had another day off work! I created this card and I hope you enjoy it. This is a fun and easy layout that would adapt nicely to any paper.  I hope it inspires you to make a card too!

Feel free to leave your comments on anything you see on my blog.

I'm very pleased with the project I finished today! It's a French Memo Board that I've wanted to make for awhile. I covered a canvas with batting and fabric, added ribbon and these cute button brads from Basic Grey! I can't wait to put photos and card ideas on!! Tlanks to Lisa Smith for the great idea and the inspiration and my hubby for help with the big bad staple gun!

I made yet another Birthday card today. Some special person I know is having a birthday today and besides, I wanted to try out my bird stamps!

Sunday, May 6, 2012

This first card is a variation of the one I posted last time. Same layout, different color scheme.

Loving the Black and White thing lately. This one has just a bit of red to make it more interesting.

I love it when a plan comes together!! I started this one at Phyl's house and time to go home slipped up on me so I brought is home to finish.  I found the perfect little sticker for it.

The last card of the day features lots of pretty Butterflies!!

My latest new card!

Thursday, May 3, 2012

I just made this card! I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Thanks to Mrs. Smith for sending me the awesome Basic Grey paper.

Last weekend, I invited two friends out to scrap our hearts out! We had so much fun the first night, they came back the following day to continue the fun! Phyl, Sharon and I all agree that we need to do this again real soon and often! Below are photos of what I made during our two day session.

I love this background paper so much I wanted to show most of it. I used a 5x7 photo and very few embellishments on this page. Sometimes, less is more!

We had fun with this card because we each used different ribbon and where I used the brad, they used a charm hanging from the ribbon. Each one was a little different but beautiful all the same!

You'll notice the first version has a centiment in the corner while the second card can be for any occasion.

My Favorite of all!! Again we each used something different on the white card but they all turned out great!

For this card, we punched out the flowers, applied them with adhesive then ran them through the embosser. Love it!

For this card, I found this awesome Thinking of You sticker!

All these basic ideas came from Pinterest.com.  It's so much fun to add your different ideas and come up with something that is all your own.
